ABOUT MAYA
Maya is a South Asian fusion dance troupe with a strong emphasis on classical dance. Founded in 2001, the dance team has generated enthusiasm for ancient and modern Indian culture both on campus and outside of Michigan through its various performances. Using a multitude of styles, including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, folk, filmi, and Western dance, the team members pride themselves on choreographing pieces that are innovative and original.
